$630 towards $1,000

Hey there, thanks for stopping by my fundraising page!

I'm Ruth & I am going to run my FIRST EVER half marathon in April 2024! Wahoooooo! My running journey began in 2017, and I love to fundraise for meaningful causes through my running. This will be my third year participating in the Eugene Marathon's Run for a Reason initiative, and I'm raising $1000 funds to support Shift Community Cycles and all the amazing work they do in & for our local community! Read on & watch my video to learn more :)

Shift is awesome because it is the only full-service bike shop in Eugene, Oregon that is also a nonprofit. Shift is on a mission to provide bicycling access and education to underserved communities by removing barriers and empowering individuals. I deeply believe in Shift's mission, and I have also personally benefited from Shift by buying my trusty commuter bike at an affordable price & attending their educational workshops to learn about topics like bikepacking and bike mechanics!

I hope you'll consider donating - just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal of raising $1000! All funds will support Shift's community outreach & youth programs. Watch my fundraising video below to learn more about why I chose Shift for my fundraiser this year (I ramble a bit in the beginning, skip to 2:56pm if you don't want to hear about how poorly my half marathon training has been going... ha!). I'd love it if you could also share my fundraising page and video with your network.

Thank you so much for your support. Now, let's raise some money $$$!! :)
