Shift Kidz - A Bike Kit Distribution Program for Youth
This November, Shift Community Cycles is excited to announce the launch of a new and ongoing program: Shift Kidz - Bike Kits for Youth. Bike kits include a bike, lock, helmet, and lights. Our goal is to distribute 50 bikes to kids before the holidays, and we need your support! In 2024, Shift aims to donate 250 bike kits to the kids that need them most in Eugene, Bethel, and Springfield.
“Every kid should have a bike!” explains Co-Founder and Operations Director Josh Goldfarb. “And we have the opportunity to make an impact before the holiday season and into 2024.”
Shift’s current partners and affiliates include: SafeRoutes to School, BEST (Better Eugene Springfield Transportation), 360 cycles, Cyclized, GEARs (Greater Eugene Area Riders), Eugene Transportation, Cascadia Mobility, and PeaceHealth Rides.
Will you join Shift and support the youth in our community by offering equitable bicycle access and education? We are seeking individual donations and corporate sponsorships to help fund Shift Kids - Bike Kits for Youth. A $200 donation offers the gift of fun, safety, security, and visibility with one Shift Kidz bike kit.
